About Villa Cecilia

History and architecture
Villa Cecilia was built between the late 19th and early 20th century as part of a noble lakeside estate, commissioned by a family of counts who chose Lake Iseo as their private retreat.
The villa belonged to one of the family members, an architect by profession, whose personal vision shaped the residence into something unique. While inspired by Liberty and early Art Nouveau influences, the architecture gently departs from strict stylistic rules, blending refined decorative elements, bold proportions and intimate details that make the house unmistakably personal.
Built directly above the water, with a private dock and boathouse at its base, the villa was conceived as a true dialogue between architecture and lake.

Memory, family, soul
Today, Villa Cecilia remains in the hands of the same family, who chose to dedicate it to their grandmother Cecilia – a woman deeply connected to this place, where she loved spending her summers by the lake.
For generations, the villa has been a setting for shared moments, long afternoons in the garden, laughter echoing through the rooms and quiet evenings on the water. More than a residence, it is a house filled with warmth, memories and a sense of belonging.
Opening Villa Cecilia to guests means sharing not only an extraordinary lakefront home, but the spirit of a place that has always been lived, loved and cherished.
